HOW IT WORKS
From empty form to useful test data in seconds.
MockDataKit generates fictional user records inside your browser, giving developers and QA teams realistic structure without using real identities.
1. Configure your dataset
Choose the number of profiles, age range, and fields your test requires. Recommended fields provide a practical starting point, while Select all exposes the complete schema.
2. Generate locally
The generator uses a repeatable numeric seed. The same seed and settings produce the same records, which is useful for debugging, automated tests, screenshots, and demonstrations.
3. Review and regenerate
Inspect records in the browser table and regenerate an individual row when you need another variation without replacing the entire dataset.
4. Copy or download
Use JSON for applications and APIs, CSV for Excel or Google Sheets, and SQL for test-database inserts. Generated values are fictional and should never be treated as verified identities.
Consistent records across every format
Changing from the table to JSON, CSV, or SQL changes only the presentation. MockDataKit keeps the same generated rows in every view, so values remain consistent while you compare formats or prepare fixtures for different tools.
Privacy and practical limits
The current generator does not upload generated profiles to a MockDataKit application server. It creates useful sample structure, but you should still test application-specific validation, unusual edge cases, and the security controls that protect real production data.
